Jörg Buttgereit zur Ausstellung „Was vom Kino übrig blieb“ im Künstlerhaus – Halle für Kunst & Medien, Graz. Für die Ausstellung stellt Buttgereit einige Requisiten seiner Werke zur Verfügung, die er bis dato in seinem Privatarchiv aufbewahrt hat. Die Exponate sind Relikte der Filme GAZORRA (1984), NEKROMANTIK (1987), SCHRAMM (1993) und TEENAGE MAKE UP (1998).

Jörg Buttgereits Kurzfilm MEIN PAPI ist vom 25.03.–30.06.2018 in der Ausstellung „Kaputt“ in Salzburg zu sehen. Die Ausstellung möchte die Ideen des Dysfunktionalen, des Zerstörten, des Unvollständigen, des Launenhaften, des Verrückten, des Gemiedenen fruchtbar machen, die Schönheit darin suchen und eben das „Kaputte“, nicht der Norm entsprechende in und an der Kunst thematisieren. Eine Ausstellung zur Rehabilitierung des Kaputten.

Jörg Buttgereits shortfilm MEIN PAPI is part of the exhibition „Kaputt“ in Sazburg, Austria. “Kaputt” is a beautiful German word that means „broken“ in more than one sense. The exhibition sheds new light on the idea of the destroyed, the incomplete, the cranky, the screwy, the avoided. Therein, it finds beauty and reveals how the exhibited paintings, objects, photographies, videos and drawings find their ways to celebrate the abnormal.
