Original Requisiten aus den Buttgereit-Filmen NEKROMANTIK (1987), SCHRAMM (1993) und HORROR HEAVEN (1984) sind vom 12.09.–15.09.2019 auf der Kunstmesse ART BERLIN zu sehen.
This year’s Special Project at Art Berlin, titled “Pars Pro Toto”, unites Maria Thurn und Taxis’ portraits of composite creatures and Jörg Buttgereit’s macabre flm props and images. Resulting in very different artefacts, both artists’ approaches, however, are informed by an understanding of the fictitious body and its constituent parts as fetishes, effigies, and toys to love and tease.
