„SCHWEINCHEN“ (Piglets), a 20 minute short film, documents a decompositon study conducted by forensic biologist Dr. Mark Benecke under the artistic guidance of famed director Jörg Buttgereit („Nekromantik“). The score was composed by Andre Abshagen, Buttgereits frequent collaborator for several audio dramas and documentaries. Benecke commissioned Michal Kosakowski („German Angst“) with editing and producing the project.
„SCHWEINCHEN“ will be making its world premiere on February 25, 2020 at 10 p.m. at Berlin’s Babylon Cinema, in the presence of all filmmakers involved, who are looking forward to a discussion with the audience following the presentation. Caution: The film contains scenes of differential decomposition that young or overly sensitive viewers might find shocking. Disclaimer: No animals were hurt in the making of this film; they all died natural deaths before filming started.
